Queen City Protests

In response to the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man killed by a white officer, protesters took to the streets to decry police brutality and systemic racism. Poughkeepsie, also known as Queen City, has long been one of the most racially segregated and impoverished cities in New York, with over 22% of the population living below the poverty line.
